Are you thinking about visiting either Antelope Canyon in Arizona or Arches National Park in Utah? This can be a hard choice to make, as both natural landmarks have their own valuable magic to offer visitors. The good news is that you do not have to make a choice as long as you have a little time to visit both locations in one trip. Here’s how to do it.

1. Plan Your Route

Antelope Canyon and Arches National Park are only 162 miles apart geographically and 289.9 miles apart by road. If you take the following route by car from Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours to Arches National Park, you should arrive in about four hours and 29 minutes:

  1. Start by heading east on AZ-98 East toward Indian Route 222.
  2. Follow both US-160 East and US-191 North until you get to Arches Entrance Road in Grand County, Utah.
  3. When you turn right onto Arches Entrance Road, you will arrive at Arches National Park.

Remember that traffic and roadwork may alter your timing and your route. Always check traffic conditions on the day you are traveling and adjust your route as needed.

2. Choose Your Accommodations

If you choose to spend the night near Antelope Canyon during your trip, you will have a variety of accommodation options to choose from. You can book a room at a luxurious hotel overlooking Lake Powell or enjoy a more rugged stay at one of Page’s campsites.

If you want or need to stay near Arches National Park at any time during your journey, there are plenty of highly-rated hotels in nearby Moab, Utah to choose. Much like in Page, there are many campsites for you to enjoy, as well.

3. Decide On Your Side Trips

If you want to add even more eye-opening curiosity to your trip, making some extra stops on the way to either Antelope Canyon or Arches National Park may be a great idea. Here are some examples of landmarks and tourist attractions located between your two destinations:

  • Courthouse Wash Rock Art
  • Moab Rock Shop
  • Crossroads Trading Shop
  • Moab Bridge Boat Launch
  • Spanish Valley Vineyard & Winery
  • Square Butte

If you’ve ever wanted to see the Colorado River, now’s your chance. You can stop there during your Antelope Canyon and Arches National Park trip, as well.
